Best Practices:
- Set a regular meeting cadence, and stick to it no matter what.
- Suggestion is weekly. Biweekly can work to but isnt as effective.
- Find a time that works consistently for everyone and dont change it
- Be respectful of peoples time by being on time and staying within the set up time domain for the meeting
- Suggest and hour long meeting
- Easy meeting structure as follows:
- 0-10 minute mark - General Small Talk and Banter/Catch up
- 10-30 minute mark High’s and Lows from each member. Can be both business and personal/life highs and lows.
- 30-55 minute mark - Check in on accountability items from previous week, deep dive into any problems from a member
- 55-60 minute mark - Members state accountability items.
- Team Roles
- Leader In charge of scheduling and keeping people accountable to attending
- Recorder Record and and document each persons accountability items
- Time tracker Ensure the above schedule is held
- 4th member gets a pass :)
- You can rotate Recorder and Time Tracker but keep Leader the same
- Continued Communication
- Suggest setting up an SMS Thread, Slack Group, or WhatsApp to communicate outside of meeting times
- Check in on goals you are working on throughout the week
- The more you engage, the more others will engage with you 🙂
If you have any issues with your squad such as people not showing up, people not being reliable, people not treating the groups seriously, you may choose to exit people from the group, or choose to pursue a new group yourself!
